Mole or melanoma? Blood vessels or hemangioma? Benign… or not so benign?

There could be hundreds of marks, lumps or blemishes on your skin, and there are thousands of skin conditions, some of which are perfectly harmless- but some can develop into large and potentially life-threatening medical concerns.

Our advanced Dermoscopy techniques can identify skin conditions while they are still small and easily treatable. Using specialized cameras that capture a wide spectrum of light, Dr. Dekker and our specially trained staff can look deeper into skin problems than typical visual inspection allows. A series of advanced skin assessments allow us to build a picture of your changing skin, identifying new developments, improvements or areas requiring a change in treatment method.

Although it is best known as a cosmetic treatment, BOTOX® has a range of medical applications, from treating hyperhidrosis (excessive perspiration), chronic migraines or headaches, TMJ syndrome, cervical dystonia (neck stiffness), Bell’s palsy, and blepharospasms (eye twitching).

Botox use for medical treatments is safe when performed by professionals, and our Ageless Living Specialists will work with you to create the treatment plan that you need for your medical condition.

Is there a way to get rid of acne scarring? Can I treat psoriasis? How can I get rid of persistent fungal outbreaks?

If you’re affected by any number of skin conditions that afflict so many of us, you might have asked these questions or performed searches hoping that Dr. Google would give you the answers. It can be confusing digging through all the conflicting information out there and, ultimately, you just need a professional to help you treat your particular skin condition. At Ageless Living Cold Lake, our medical professionals have built a reputation on helping patients answer questions just like these. More importantly, we’ve helped them with personalized treatment plans using our medical know-how paired with innovative treatment methods and technologies; like Laser and Blu-U® technology.

Acne, scarring, psoriasis, moles, warts, fungus and ulcers–these conditions can impact not only your body but also your emotional and mental health. At Ageless Living Cold Lake we are here to help you become your best self–and we take a holistic approach to that statement.

This safe and effective treatment for varicose veins and spider veins works by injecting a small quantity of liquid into the veins, causing them to collapse and ultimately become invisible. These veins are either superficial or quite deep and treating them will generally have no long or short-term negative effects on your body- except that unsightly veins will be gone for good and the rest of your healthy vascular system can function at its best.

As a Civil Aviation Medical Examiner (CAME), Dr. Dekker is designated to perform civil aviation medical exams at our Cold Lake location. This comprehensive examination tests every aspect of a private, commercial or military pilot’s health to make sure that they’re healthy enough to operate an aircraft or work as an air-traffic controller. These assessments are a requirement by the Civil Aviation Medicine Branch of Transport Canada.

As you age your skin is going to develop hundreds of tiny (and not so tiny) imperfections. Some of these you’ll be able to live with, others may seriously affect your self-confidence- and from there, your quality of life. Our expertise means that we can identify skin problems using the latest imaging technology and can find the right way to treat them with the least invasive methods possible. It might even surprise you to know that most skin tag or mole removal treatments don’t require scalpels or cutting of any kind.
